His body burns violently
as the rays of the sun penetrate
within his naked flesh mercilessly.
His exposed limbs hurt
painful gasps escape his dry lips
yet he bears it all in silence.
Warm tears fall down
since the agony increases intensely
yet he prays to the heavens for help.
Then a thunder
the boy looks up and smiles
he knows that the sun will cease to blaze.
Tiny sapphire droplets fall
leaving tiny spots on the floor
and suddenly they disappear as it pours.
So madly
that you can see everyone around running
but this boy sits alone smiling to himself.
He stands up and steps into the rain
surrendering himself to the temporary ecstasy
letting the rain drops to heal his wounds.
The heat in the body evaporates
his arms stretch up as if he was thanking god
for bestowing on him this blessing of rain.

dear preeti,
I believe that you truly have a great talent in writing this style of poetry, and if it makes you feel good and relaxed, why not continue ?
I really enjoyed your poem and the rich imagery you used in it, and the way you speak about prayer, surrendering and how the rain is healing wounds ... externally and internally ...
thank you very much for having challenged yourself in writing a different kind of poetry, and I congratulate you to a truly wonderful job you did here with this poetic creation.
all the best to you,
and much love,
maa

Woah, this is a nice piece. I like it quite a bit, the imagery is good, and your wording is better. Wonderful job. I'd say more but I'm horribly sleep deprived and can't think of words worthy enough.
Now, a wish that your talent never fades...
