Some men can qoute a sonnet
From a thousand years ago
Wisper sweet nothing in your ears
Some men can turn a head
With just a smile
Have women tremble in their hands
Some know all the words
to break the ice
And women flock to them
like candy in a store
But that's not me
I'm found on this here page
not the bars and clubs across the way
I write with passion
But can barely speak my words
I tell you all of love
But still fumble with my touch
I'm trapped inside my own desire
It will take a willing hand
To free me from my bonds
A gentle soul
To draw out the lover
still hiding somewhere deep inside
I was once romantic
And I hope to be again
I was once a lover
Please come set me free

I have read the Rules, I can write poetry for day on end, but I still stugle with meeting women. I just don't know how to turn those heads, My looks and cowboy hat will only get me so far.(LOL)

This is a beautifully written personal piece. It is often much easier to write freely with so much love and passion, than to speak it. Mostly to people you don't know.
This is a very nice and truly written poem.

two things. one is it should be "will take a willing hand"
two is that it should be "free me from my bonds"

veary real,, i like that,, and i know what you mean,, its hard even been a guy and finding a girl that is real with how they feel without holding back,, or not thinking " whats in it for you" its getting harder to fine poeple who havent been so hurt by love that they will give it another shot,, but here out there,, i love these lines "A gentle soul

Oh Charlie. You are a gifted writer. And your wonderful compassion shines through every word. You are a romantic. You put so many hearts aflutter with your beautiful romantic poetry. charlie,you do write well and sometimes our feelings come out better on paper then what we could ever say in person,i used t have that problem ,i once was very shy,but life dealt me a hard timd and i had to make myself get over it.just take things one day at a time,it will come and i pray things will work out for you and your friend if it's meant to be let it flourish and blossom you will see how happy you can be once again love to you my friend mary
