Sometimes
we feel we can "only" pray;
praying often does more for the pray-er,
than for those we so passionately pray for.
Some difficult situations we are unable to change.
God makes those bearable by sending us love in many forms.
God mercifully changes our wrongs into rights to round us off.
He allows deprivation to make us needy of his blessings.
As rain takes away sunshine for a short while,
tears wet desert patches within the soul.

God draws his roses from drought's well.
Rain, for the smile of a rose.

@>-->>-------

Our sacred
relationship with God
is face to face; individualized,
everyone stands before God in his own manner.
Yet we are similar: the Blue-print enables the print.
God poems us gently within his Being; with Love we poem God
within our souls: connected, inspired, sustained.
God is the Inkwell and we are his pens;
we the inkwells and God the Pen:
we are interrelated.

God paints his roses with fragrant smiles.
Rain, for the smile of a rose.

@>-->>-------

Rain
of blessings
comes in various forms.
The blessings of the gifts the Creator
implanted in our very souls are part of nature
-- human nature, supposedly superior within his creation.
We may look at nature and see symbiotic sharing
of flora and fauna: plant, animal and man
within divine seasonal change.
Growth for the soul.

God sculpts his roses with tender souls.
Rain, for the smile of a rose.

Friendship is rain in difficult times.
Laughter is rain and so is the sharing of smiles.
This is what I wish to share:

My friend and her husband love me very much and I adore them. She took me to breakfast at the Mall one morning this winter. We sat down and she opened her handbag. She took out money and handed it to me.  I said: Please don't, I am already in debt ...  Ssh Myra, she said, take it. It is exclusively for you this time. I said: I will only take it if you let me spend it the way God advises me to do.

So: I paid for our breakfast.

We strolled through the Mall, carefree as children.

She saw a pair of shoes she needed for church. On opening her handbag she discovered she had no money -- she handed me all the money in her purse.  I will pay, I suggested with a soft giggle. No, you won't, she resisted, not very friendly. The lady attendant said: Oh, do not be so rude; please let your friend pay -- it is such a lovely gesture.

We collapsed in laughter -- the attendant thoroughly puzzled.

My friend considered using her husband's credit card. She looked at the price tag on the pair of shoes -- expensive Italian shoes. No, I cannot afford it, she decided, putting the shoes back on the shelf.  Yes, you can, I interrupted, taking the shoes off the shelf again. This pair of shoes will last you a lifetime -- it is genuine leather, stylish and simply stunning.

Okay, I will take it, she said, handing the shoes to the totally mesmerized attendant.

And then the surprise: when the attendant rang up the amount, the system showed the main office in the Eastern Cape marked down the shoes almost that very instance. It was not registered at the shop in the Southern Cape yet.

She bought the shoes for next to nothing!

The lady attendant said: Never did this happen before.
God has good taste for style too, my friend Chris later said.

God has such a godlike sense of humor.
Rain, for the smile of a rose.

Would
God let
the fragile seed
of the tender rose
be swept away by flood?

No, He lets it wait
for spring
hidden
some-
where
in
the
mud

    dearest myra,

thank your for having added another blessing to your already wonderful garland of blessings ...
this particular little poem inspires me to honor the quality of patience and to have faith that everything happens at the perfect moment, at the right season ...
the mud protects the little rose seed while nourishing it to make it strong, so it can grow. likewise, when we still have to gain inner strength and stability, discernment and tranquility, we may be put "on hold" for a while, a period which seems without movement seen from the outside, but permits growth inside. we can't always dig out the seed in order to see if it's growing, but have to leave it in the darkness of its earthly bed until it will one day come out of the dark womb and move towards the light ...

    much, much love

Just saw Bruce Almighty (with Jim Carrey) with my daughter and her friend. The essence of your poem / write seems related to that movie. The subtle sense of humor surely is a property of staggering intelligence. Many of the children of the Light have witnessed this first hand. It was good to be on this page. Ack,

    Chris

God paints his roses with fragrant smiles.

God sculpts his roses with tender souls.

Ahh, so beautiful! And I nejoyed the story, too. God works wonders for those who love Him and love each other. God bless.

How wonderful to know you return the blessings I shared in humbleness -- as you know I struggle to express myself in English, so please hear my heart: THANK you for loving me. I am not surprised that you see deep inside my soul. Not at all ... Love you too, Poet!

    My beloved Marion,

The Rose needs not wonder whom her fragrance touches. You have led me here, and your fragrance inspired me to write those words already written within your own heart by the Rose Writer. I felt the surge of such an incredibly warm and divine love for you on reading your words. Once again, God whispers: We are all One in Divine blessings of Everlasting Life. THIS, beloved One, is the River of Life -- the Lifegiving water of Healing. Rain, for the Smile of a Rose.

Keep your hand in the Hand of the Rainmaker.

    Blessed be, Rose maa.

    dearest myra,
what an incredibly rich poem - interlacing your truly mystic way of writing nectar-filled poems of blessings - together with a down-to-earth experience in the material world, where all this wisdom and faith that you transmit us so magically, becomes manifest and tangible for everyone.
you have taught us all a very precious life-lesson, and have gifted me personally with a stream of blessings coming through your words. you made this marion "rose" smile a lot this morning, you know ?
somehow, you must have heard there where you are, in south-africa, this little girl here asking for a gentle touch from Divine Hands, in order to lift some burden from her shoulders ...
and He did touch me through your magic poem, through your magic story and through your magic soul, which is as fragile as a petal of a rose.
you are one of those very few souls who have the power to uplift my own soul, when it feels a bit low and needs some spiritual fuel to keep the engine running ...
I thank you from my heart for having heard the call of my soul and for having replied in such a magnificient manner.
    with sincere gratitude, blessed one,

    marion

We have heavy rains and some floods right now -- for some days all of South Africa experience the blessings of his rain. May Texas have the same, my dearest friend. I will check my e-mail, thank you.
