Like the ocean


I can be unpredictable like the waves,
harsh like the powerful currents,
fierce like a tropical storm over the ocean,
and cold like the freezing temperatures.

I can be fun like a dolphins playground,
calm like the gentle tides on a sandy beach,
sweet like the taste of salt water on your lips,
and soothing like the familiar waters.

My personality changes as quick as the ocean.

Author notes

This poem shows that my personality traits are similar to the ocean, and that I can turn as quickly as the dominating ocean can. I think that the ocean is both dangerous and fun and I hope my poem can show different sides of the ocean as well as my personalities.

    ok, the write turned to be a little unpredictable, maybe just as waves and ocean. This thought and way of representation is novel for me, so deserves appreciation. As I read your words, they paints you intentions in front of me, thumbs up! I reckon that things can go better if you reduce the glimpse of your personality in beginning. I would have been more surprised if I came to know about the 'personality' afterwards or in the end. Anyways, a good attempt, actually novel way but I guess that it has good scopes for improvement.
