I recently spent the day at the park,
With Jessica and Kayla by my side,
On this trip we all did embark,
With everything packed we were ready to ride.
First there was the miniature golf game,
Kayla played like croquet but she’s only four,
Jessica was ready when her turn came,
One swing and her ball was no more,
The ride on the train was next on the list,
Jessica knew it all she had rode one before,
To ride with Grandpa Kayla did insist,
But soon it was over and they wanted more.
The paddle boats were to be the next pick,
Both had to pick just the right jacket,
Off we all went with a mighty kick,
Half way around and this grandma couldn't hack it.
Bumper boats were to be the last,
To stay dry was to prove an impossible mission,
As the end of the day came much to fast,
We all returned home in an exhausted condition.
