Text books and homework at my age
must read each and every page
highlighters spread about
algebra, yuck I want to shout
business law and literature
education sweet and so pure
eraser holes in my notebooks
kids are giving me funny looks
mumbling about supreme court cases
why are they making funny faces
oh could it be cause mum got an F
try again is the only choice left
went back to school to make em proud
graduation gown will be my shroud
to old to be the teacher's pet
but going back I won't regret
