darkness
author of despair
return to me the
key to my heart
no excuses this time
end this before the
sun sets beneath the
skyline of my life

Author notes
This poem is from the point of view of one of my roleplay characters. At this point in the storyline, she is dying with no hope of a cure, and the first man she ever loved just left her for her worst enemy.
Oh, and it's an acrostic.

This is beautifully dark beyond words. I really liked the second line. You are one of the great ones.

Thank you so much! It's good to finally get some meaningful comments on my poetry.
Oh, I forgot to put that it's an acrostic, didn't I? Silly me! ^^; But it is, though. They are hard to write, but I like what I come up with. -
Brilliant!
Wow!! This was a powerfully explosive write.
The words were minimal but the meaning was
deeply profound. I'm so impressed with this poem.
You are a thinker. There is so much in there.
My mind is still exploring even as I write this to you.
Great job! Keep up the good work
