new
snowfall
flickering
flakes of iced joy
fly
view
anxious
faces pressed
against windows
sigh
you
come close
hold my hand
winter’s wonder
nigh

Glenda has a poem with the same name. This is round one, checking if contestants noted the form. You did. You move to round 2.
For nnoting rebel you move to round 3. More than one short poem, move to 4. Perfect form. on to round 5. Very sweet but you do not move on, just not quite as strong as the others.

Oh, thank you Charishma for your sweet words. I am glad you liked them.
Oh, hot chocolate sounds nice! Chocolate always sounds nice! I liked your P.S. note!

Ahhhhhhh.........these have to be the best lanturnes I have read from your pen. They have superb imagery, they set the mood of winter so very well even in this peak summer for me, they employ the technique of assonance and alliteration very well, and they make my heart sigh
You have used "the best words" anyone could think of to describe this time of the year. These lanturnes are light and airy and perfectly how lanturnes must be. Each lanturne is complete on its own and together they flow so well. The syllable count is perfect too. You've really made me smile tonight and want to go have some hot chocolate
All the best in the contest,
Charishma
P.S. Speaking of chocolates, did you know that there is a group on AP called Chocoholics

Gosh Susie this is so tranquil to read and makes me kind of want the snow in August
...I can feel the softness of your words and I adore the 2nd lanturne best becaause I imagine little bright eyed children looking out at the wonder of it all...

Thank you hoodoolover-it was nice to think of snow on a hot day like this! I think you would like the laturnes, they are a fun little form poetry.
