If only she could say they were still friends.
She knew no friend makes it so one can not mend.
She wondered if he knew he shattered her porcelain heart.
He probably would have chosen his best friend over her from the start.
She was always behind he choices, always.
Even though he hurt her, her love for him still stays.
She couldn't’t help but slide metal across her skin.
Every night she told herself she didn't’t care.
She knew it was all lies, so she sat in the dark with a long stare.
She wrote notes and kept everything inside.
She tried to forget and keep everything behind.
Every boy she was with reminded her of him.
Soon, her teachers discovered her marked skin.
Her mother knew better to ask her daughter.
All she could think about was how her mother had caught her.
That night, she wrote her final note.
She sat on her bedroom floor in her small black coat.
She took everything in too fast.
And couldn't’t take all the pain from her past.
Moments later her last scar was formed.
As she fell to the floor, her mother sat in the other room as it began to storm.
She was tired of everyone’s sighs.
In the last minutes of her life, she said her last goodbyes.
When her mother came in, it was already too late.
She couldn't’t breathe and almost was about to faint.
Once she calmed down, she read her daughters letter.
She knew she was never going to feel any better.
Her daughters pain and sorrows were all gone.
And outside her window, he played her favorite song.
