arrival
Oh,
what soft echoes
our hearts make
when, with prayers
lifted,
our chaliced hands
cupped,
receive
God’s breath,
so fragile within,
her frame
formed in secret
while angels watched
eagerly.
We hold
each moment
with anticipation
and this guarded promise;
her life, her hands,
as our little teacher,
reminding us
to see God
we must become
like her.

We are awaiting a new arrival. My eldest son and his wife are expecting my first granddaughter. When I say; granddaughter my heart swells as not long ago I asked the Lord to send us a girl. We have three grandsons already. Our family has very few girls. I am the first granddaughter on my dad's side of the family where there were 22 grandsons before me. There are 24 boys total and me and my sister are the only girls.
Congratulations on the the new bundle of blessings. Your poem reflects the continuous smile that must be on your faces. Just love the baby as much humanly possible. Your good fortune is to be able to watch her grow.

BEAUTIFUL!
Much Love & Many Blessings ♥

Such softness and innocence in new life...may the angels keep her always, in guarded promise. Congratulations. We have a new small arrival here, too, as of May 28.
They are beautiful and precious.
