Along the pathway of life's rocky road
comes a knowing that I am not alone
Though the way may be unsteady and
I may stumble as my feet meet stone
Your path assures me victory in the valley
a prize that is incorruptible, a treasure true
As long as I keep You within my sights
leaving my ways behind, clinging to You
It is your voice that reaches me o'er
the mountain tops and upholds me
Assurance comes to this child's heart
because of Your holy word, my guarantee
Thank you for living then dying for me
bringing me strength through grace
Although it may seem strange to some
I know one day I'll see you face to face
Victory has come to me in this valley
eternal life my incorruptible reward
More than a crown or maybe even two
your death then resurrection, my life restored
Author notes
This poem inspired by the following songs: Moutain of God (Third Day); If You Want Me To (Ginny Owens); My Savior, My God (Aaron Shust)
Romans 5:
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Philipians 3:14
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
I Corinthians 9:
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26 Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. 27 No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

This is a very lovely inspiring work of poetry you have shared here. Victory in the Valley.....what an inspiration! I have been through the valleys myself and they have been rough....but I have always tried to remember that God has a reason for leading me through them and that I am NEVER alone.
I really thank God for this one....it was a perfect way to start my day....for I have had some trials this past weekend...and this is just one more reminder that there is victory in store.
God bless you.

Noble1, I adore this statement of faith!! This is absolutely lovely dearest one! Such peace He gives to those who trust in Him... it can't even be described... all I can say is.. it's a 'knowing' deeply within one's soul and mind that it's all good... because God favors us...
This is a brilliant poem Noble... I am so glad to see you posting... especially a poem such as this one! It's fabulous!!!
God bless you dear one... know that you are loved!!!

It seems as though you had a lot inspiring this poem... the picture, the songs, and the verses. Wow! And what a poem you have created. Have you heard the song Win! by David Crowder. It's on his latest CD titled "A Collision". It's pretty much about how we've already won and everyone else doesn't have a chance. Anyways, beautiful poem. I don't get to read much of your poetry lately (because someone doesn't post much
) so any poems I get to read is a privalege. Oh, and I'm a fan of 3D art so I like the picture at the top.
Good luck in the contest!
