Pale yellow pear pieces
(dripping as she removes
them from the tiny jar)
leak seductively
as they pass through
her oval lips
(which are already iced with the
tasty juices of the candied fruit)
a shiny
drop is missed by her tongue and
dribbles over her
chin before rapidly racing
down the front of her
shirt and lands with
a plop on top of her
bare foot, close to
her ankle.
She reaches for another
cube of the sweet fruit
(though in the process,
she knocks the jar over..)
spilling the carefully
cut cubes of luscious nectar
across the lustered
table-top.
