Let us dance until the morning comes
Dancing to the silent beat of the drums
Dance with me oh beautiful mockingbird
May our sweet laughter continue to be heard
Ringing out through the riches and the slums

Author notes
I have tried going back to revise this one after I wrote the last word, but I can't seem to fix it to get the same feel. When I first looked at the picture it looked as if she was dancing. So that's what I wrote on. The second line is simply that we see children dancing, but to no music. Hence the silent beat. The last line is simply a message of hope... if you're happy, express that joy and help others be happy as well... both rich and poor need happiness in their lives.
Hope you liked it! Thanks for reading!

I really like this piece ... it reminds me a little of a chorus - although I'm not saying it isn't wonderful on its own. I love your explanation, you speak as poetically as you compose.
Stay smiling and keep writing
