I tremble at the words I cannot say
for such my lips are unavailable
though I am silent there is still a way
creating untenable potential
Left only with my simple metaphor
a shadow of what I want to convey
which leaves me wanting desperately for more
as I embrace the reason for this stay
For now my left eye does not match my right
my hands and arms refuse to move in sync
I struggle heavily to keep in sight
parameters of what I am to think
The task is large, the stipend cold and stark
To change the world, and yet not leave a mark

The only positive changes one can make upon the world leave no mark, for they encourage others to leave theirs. It is a paradox, but once resolved, one can die sated.

Splendid
Strangely enough, I thought I commented on this poem -- what an awesome way to say:
To change the world, and yet not leave a mark
Some words just leave me breathless.
