We lay hand in hand in my garden
Feeling the world rush by
When you asked me if i was singing
That sweet sounding lullabye
I shook my head, and watched as you searched
For that tranfixing song of joy
Desperatly hunting high and low
Till you came back, rather annoyed
I held you desparing head in my hands
pressed your ear against my chest
Watched your features soften
And felt your body release and rest
I let you listen for a while
Lifted your chin and gazed into your eyes
'My heart was just a mummer before,
but now it is fully revived
it was shatterd and broken in places
but still you lovingly held on
healed by your patience and loyalty
now its every beat is a song'
You didnt say a word just smiled
Afraid the music would go away,
But you have to believe, the melody of this love
Is constantly on play.
