The saxophone line
Is anything but sublime
Sarah is the leader
They all say "nobody can beat 'er"
Andy is next
Tiffany is now his ex
Chloe is serious
She tells us she feels beaverish
Courtney we all call Dick
You know she is no toothpick
Caitlyn is so annoying
She used to think I was boring
Andy was Sarah's best friend
They would be there till the very end
Now they are more
But Tiffany's friendship is out the door
Mr. D looks like he'll soon need stents
As he yells "Sarah, stop being Andy's audience"
They try so hard not to laugh
Cuz he looks like he could have a heart attack
They're just a group of crazy kids
They're not out to make bids
They play their sax
They don't chop their music with an axe
They love to have fun
They hate it when they have to run
In the end they love it all
They will never ever fall
Half brass, half woodwind
But this is not the end
Half-breeds we are
You might find us playing at a bar
Saxophones rock
They'll never be given the sock
We play saxophone, yes we do
Don't you wish you played saxophone too?

This was just something fun, and true btw, that i wrote ate 12:46 AM while i was in a crazy/hyper/damn-i-need-some-sleep mood lol. It wasn't written to be the best poem, i know i've got some stretched rhymes in there, it was just purely for humor and for laughs...especially for those who are part of it! hope you enjoyed!

Yes, you did get us into a lot of trouble! lmao, jk, but wasn't it fun? When school starts this year I'm gonna have to write a new sax poem and add the incoming freshmen. Some of my best memories in school are during band...with Mr. Dooley yelling at you and me to stop talking and such. lolol. Good times, but there's nothing but more good times to come!

Cute, sounds like something out of a TV show about teens. Do you play in a band or something? I like the sax quite a bit, wrote a poem called Saxophone Man (about my main squeeze, who plays the sax, muy sexy!)

How awesome! All of it's so true! Sarah, Andy, Tiff, Beaver, Dick, and Roxy -- but you left out Cornelia and Cupcake, lol. The line about you being my audience and the line about having to run cracked me up; I get us into so much trouble, lol. I loved the form and rhyme of this piece, they added to the humor. Great job, my angelfish. I love you very much!

I'm glad you liked it! The people mentnioned are, of course, real people who play sax with my in high school. I am now a senior and obviously section leader (but i was section leader as a junior too, so this is my second year). Oh, btw, when i said chloe feels "beaverish" the story behind that is that we call her beaver...i dont know why, we just do, and one day she said she felt feaverish. lol. Andy changed it to beaverish. Tiffany is also in the line, her and Andy used to date, but Andy and I are together now, and she would love nothing more than to stab me in my sleep. It's a bunch of stupid high school drama, I know. Anyway, it's cool that you play sax also! Are you in the group Sax Players? ttyl

I loved this...I play sax...so I simply HAD to read it!!!
It's rather amusing, as I can apply almost all of it to the sax ensemble I am a part of.
