Tears Are My Only Friend

Sadness has overcome me
I just want to be free
Free from everything
Oh what happiness it'd bring
But no
The pain continues to grow
I have nothing to look forward to
Days of darkness to live through
My whole life all I've known is pain
My whole life has gone down the drain
All my friends have gone
I have no one to rely on
I'm all alone
This feeling to me is not unknown
Tears are my only "friend"
This relationship will never end
For they come to me every night
To show me my life isn't right
Wish the sadness would just be gone
But no it will live on & on
To never leave my side
So in darkness I will forever hide

    nice poem. I loved the flow and rhyming scheme. I know sometimes it seems like things will never get better, but don't worry they will. And (now after that inspirational message ) anyway, good poem, thanks for sharing!
