Evaporating

I stepped into the garden this morning,
while the dew
was still on the flowers,
Basking
in the soothing sun,
catching glimpses of natures exquisiteness,
buried bottomless by my busy life,
as drops glided like children over slides
on merry evenings.

Each drop like a universe,
held a marvel of its own,
feeding my arid soul.
Sliding
like teardrops
over smooth delicate rosy cheeks
and evaporating.

Author notes

There’s so much in the world we can enjoy. I have not been going through good times lately, but then I am not the one to sit and sulk, although subconsciously I tend to, and then we have to get those constant reminders that there’s more than ENOUGH in the world we can set our minds on and celebrate, like this morning. Thanks to all you wonderful people, and I take this opportunity to thank my dear friend Jane who constantly reminds me of this rule of life of “letting go” and I think it does a great deal to carry on, yeah, I know it does, but then… Oh well.

    dear lencio,
this is until now my absolute favourites of your poems.
I don't know why, but maybe this vulnerability and the innocence of your look at the flower touch my heart.
I am sorry to hear you are not feeling so well, although it seems to inspire you incredible works of art ...
much love and happy birthday !

those drops subtle that pearch on leaves
surrenders but not to the power of sun
down deep in them they have this feel
to rise in heaven; to end as accolade

Sir, here i bring forth mine perception.

Nice penning, so inspiring, your comments box specially.

Thanks Vanessa, glad you enjoyed this, was a bit difficult writing it after that "long" silence

    Very well done

Extremely well done in all aspects. Yes, we all need to take time "to smell the roses", watch sunrise or set. Walk in a warm spring rain, whatever connects us to our Inner Self (or Spirit).
    Thanks for writing this.

    stunning

I enjoyed reading this. And remember you dont need love or saddness to be who you are today. What makes you, you is what youve learned and processed throughout your life. You are an amazing writer. Good luck in my contest sweetie <3

Yes it is what we must do because God created those things just for us. We many times tend to ignore the simple things in life due to our busy world. I am sometimes glad I can find time to enjoy this beauty. Thanks Juanita for sharing your thoughts on this,

    Blessed be,
    Lencio

Perfect verses Lencio. I am afraid that this contest will be very hard to judge because of you.
When I saw this verses I fall in love with them. I will put this poem in my own Featured because it is very, very special. Thank you for this poetic beauty. Simple, short and meaningful pictures of nature with perfect and vivid description, and much, much more.
