Trees turn colors in the emptiness of the earth's soul
Leaving the wind to keep the moon warm
outside luminescent coolness wraps animals in calmness
while inside youth dreams of an almost forgotten freedom
The sense of nirvana touches my aura
reminding me of the way you felt
that September.

Well, at least it contains no trite bromides in the form of worn out cliches.

oh no, September poetry already...But I loved this read, Chauna. you not only expressed the beauty of the season itself by the very images but the last lines drew the poem to a very touching and lovely close.
best wishes to you in the contest!
