lazy sunshine
warmth lifts me
so amongst the clouds
I’m drifting
drifting
apiece
apiece
the angels sing
you each get a wish apiece
the little girl next to me wished to live
in a wonderland
so not wanting to disappoint
they put her out of her misery
killed her and sent her
off to a road of glory,
but before she took her last breath
they made sure to crush her dream,
whispering
there’s no such thing
and now they turn to me
I wish to runaway
away away
so very far away
from my sorrow
sorrow
sorrow
so they gave me wings
but only to borrow
borrow
borrow a pair of angel wings
I wish
wish
I could wish wish
for one more thing
that I could wish
a wish
to borrow some angel wings
and they turn to me
and say there’s no such thing

This was a different style then I have seen on here. And the first time I read it I'll admit I didn't really like it. But, I reread it and I've decided it gives it a nice feeling to the poem. The repitition of the words, helps and gives it something I can't describe. Thanks for posting and good luck in the contest hun.

holy shit, thats so weird, they killed her.
I like the part how you said they gave you angel wings, but only to borrow.
