Silver Dreams

In dreams
lit in silver
as cobweb or snowflake.
Fractal patterns of sintered light,
drifting slowly as do stars through the night.
Such strangeness I had never seen,
nor such beauty as that,
pure silver cast
in dreams.

Dear Tommy I am so thrilled with the honour you have done me here.

The poem itself had been waiting to escape for ages, I just did not know how to write it. Your contest gave me both the method (please see the awesome "Eagles" at allpoetry.com/Poem/47179) and opportunity. For that alone I would be indebted to you, and to top it all it won. More even than that it introduced me to poets I'd not visited before but shall be visiting in the future.

Many thanks for a wonderful contest.

    Blessings always

    Alan
