Nature

I have learned
To take things as I see them,
To enjoy the wonderful things of nature,
Listen to nature's music, melodies and serenades.
In this world, I shall not be judged,
Nor shall I be treated harsh or with hatred.
In this little place, I shall be me.
I shall be myself with my own thoughts.
Everything out here is everything nature can give.
Be not proud, nor worthwhile to see such a place,
For everyone has this place in him or her.
In this place, you shall be free,
You will be with nature's life,
And nature's heaven.
From eye to ear, you will hear and see nature,
You will be surrounded by nature,
and with the purest thoughts of nature.
The mountains will surround you;
Whilst the river cascades around you,
To love nature is to love thyself.
Everything moral, shall be in it's place,
And all you have to do,
Is look for it inside of you.

Author notes

Another 2004 poem I had to do in English Class. I'm not good with poems. At least, that's what I think but I've been told (and yelled at) differently.
