It's time I realized,
That your not coming back,
And nothing I do,
Can change that.
The tears I have cried,
Are worthless.
Because the good times we shared,
Are now just,
Fading memories.
I'll still love you,
And I'll still miss you.
But things change,
Just as you have.
The man I once loved,
Has gone away.
And you are now,
Just a figure of what you were.
The memories are now,
Just reminders of what I can't have.
They plague my brain,
Forcing me to be stuck,
In yesterday.
But I can't let this go on,
Any longer.
My today's are slipping,
Through my grasp.
I must focus on today,
And not yesterday.
I will always love you,
That I swear.
But I must say,
Good-bye for now.

Moving forward can be so hard to do. This is a very touching poem. The poem in general has great flow and is clearly understood. Writing is a good medium for channeling your emotions, and I would say that you are doing that very well.

Nice emotional write. Sometimes it's hard letting go of someone. Especially if you still love them. Well, feel better. Keep writing.
