The End of Harry Potter

Harry flew through the doors of the Great Hall where everyone was having their end of the year feast. His body slid across the floor coming to a stop at Professor McGonagall’s feet. Everyone turned to look at him.

“Mr. Potter what is the meaning of this?” McGonagall asked.

He was too out of breath to say anything, but his fingers said it all pointing towards the double doors.

Everyone now turned to where he was pointing. There Voldemort stood in the doorway Wormtail at his heels. A dreadful silence spread across the room except for the sound of Harry’s deep breathing as he got to his feet.

Voldemort strode into the room moving the tables with the students still in them in one easy motion until they were up against the walls as far as they would go. He pulled out his wand and out a thick coating of green goo over them so they couldn’t move. He did the same with the teacher’s tables taking McGonagall with the. The students and teachers watched and listened as they could do nothing about what was happening.

When he spoke, his voice made them shudder, “Come now Harry. Why should you fear me?”

“I do not fear you, Voldemort,” Harry replied trying to contain his shaken voice. It wasn’t feat that swept his body, but the impact of the spell.

“Maybe this should help, Voldemort said, but his voice was drowned out by the uproar of magic knocking at Harry’s chest.

He dropped to his knees then to the floor twitching and screaming waiting for Voldemort to release him of the Cruciatus Curse. When he was released, he quickly got to his feet and the duel began. Harry tried to weaken Voldemort, but found no such weakness in him.

Where is Hermione and Ron he thought. She was suppose to have that potion ready. He blocked the few spells before he realized she was in the doorway behind Wormtail. She cast a spell and knocked him out of the way.

“Hermione now!” he shouted to her. She threw a glass vile at Voldemort’s feet and at the same time Harry shouted, “Avada Kedavra!” the killing curse. Voldemort went still then fell flat on his back and he was dead.

Silence once again salted the air, but they were free from their prison. Harry fell to his knees breathing in deep breaths of air. Hermione and Ron Ran to help him up, but he pushed their hands away still on his knees. Hermione held out a bluish green glass vile to him, but he shook his head. Instead of taking it away she took the lid off and made him drink it little sips at a time.

It was vile tasting in his mouth, but his strength was returning and he didn’t feel as tired as he should have. The air that was knocked from his lungs had returned, and the magic within him had also returned. When he had swallowed the last bit, he got to his feet and turned to walk out, but was stopped by McGonagall's voice.

"Mr. Potter," Harry stood there with his back to everyone and let out a breath of air. "May I be so bold to ask where you are going?"

"Nowhere important," he mumbled still not looking at the other students or anyone else.

"Then," McGonagall went on, "I have a proposistion for you."

That got his attention and he turned to look at her, "Oh is that so. What did you have in mind?"

"I want you to come back to Hogwarts...."

"Professor, I couldn't possibly came back not after all I.... the wizarding world has been through."

"I know, but not as a student," there was a gasp in the crowd and instantly everyone started to chatter softly. McGonagall ignored them and continued, "These students could use your knowledge as a hogwarts teacher..."

"Look, McGonagall, I don't think thier parents would agree to having a powerful wizard who just happened to defeat The Dark Wizard, Vodemart, teaching them."

"Harry, listen to McGonagall for once," it was Hermione who had sopken. "You know more spells than any witch or wizard I know, advanced spells, Harry! Think about it."

Harry shook his head. "I won't endanger Hogwarts anymore." Hermione opened her mouth to argue, but he interupted before she could start, "Just because I killed Voldemort doesn't mean that there still aren't more of his followers still out there. Wormtail is still out there. Remember he killed Cedric right before my eyes. I won't let him get away this time."

"Aren't you even curious what subject you will be teaching?" she asked even though she knew what the answer was.

"I already know, Hermione..." he shrugged, "Defence Against the Dark Arts. It's not a secret."

"All I am saying," McGonagall spoke up again, "is just think about it. You don't have to decide now, but remember the posision will always be opened to you."

He didn't reply, but only sighed then looked around the Great Hall one last time before he apparate and was gone.

Where is he now… no one knows. Many say he left for years then came back to Hogwarts to teach, but word never got out to Ron and Hermione as to where he is now.

this was really good you were very descriptive and the terror that was realeased into the great hall was very real. the only thing is that i believe that harry wouldn't just leave after fefeating the greatest sorcerer in the world. and i think that your idea is good but the plot should be reviewed. overall..good job.
    GOOD LUCK IN THE CONTEST!!!

That was really good... I like the way you ended this...
    Oh, and two more things:
'She through it at Voldemort’s feet and at the same time Harry shouted, “Avada Kedavra!” the killing curse.'
    1) It has to be 'threw' not 'through' I think
    2) What did she throw?

    Good luck in the contest
