Metaphors of Writers Block

This emptiness of words
is trapped inside my head.
Tapping just lightly to get out,
light enough to drive me crazy!

My pencil screams to skate
on the ice that is my page.
Yet the magic that is imagination still meerly
this emptiness of words trapped inside my head.

Vibrant words of art
that are the write, trapped.
Still tapping,
slowly opening a crack in my cage.

Ideas and thoughts leek
from this jail, my mind.
Giving me a beginning,
small and weak.

Now distractions come
seel the crack,
what's left is STILL
this emptiness of words
trapped inside my head.

(AKA! writers block)

Definately better than I would've done on writers' block. I can't write squat, then. You're still able to use metaphors and whatnot. The way you describe how you want to say things in a poem, but can't put it into words is unique.

"Ideas and thoughts leek out of this jail i call my mind.
    Giving me a small beging."
    - Is that last word supposed to be "beginning"? That's the only word I could think of that seemed to fit.

Other than that word, I found this poem to be wonderful Great write.
