We live in a time of no honesty.
Everyones business is always someonelse's business.
The ones who keep the secrets
Are always the one we fear.
No one will love someone for someones imperfections
Superficiality is all the rage.
We live in a time of sadness.
We substitute friends with fancy cars
Big houses.Great surround systems.
We substitute family with money.
We have million dollar houses..and complain.
While others ...have nothing but the shirt on their back.
Were fed on money.
Yet were all starving.
We protect ourselves with our wallets
Not with our hearts,minds and souls.
Were not living.
Were zombies.
Society's play things.
We dont care for others feelings.
And the ones who do...
Need no big screen tv.
Need no huge house.
Need nothing but the ones that care.
And will never make a differnce to the ones who hide behind a dollar bill.
We're overwhelmed by that lucious green color.
The irresistable faces on that paper.
We care not for anyone but ourselves.
We are emotionless.
We are monsters.
We are nothing but superficial greedy zombies.
We are..lifeless.

this. is. life. i totally understand what you're saying dahlin, and i wish i myself could do something about it. but no, i'm just another little blemish on the earth, according to the pigs you describe here. isnt it sad what 'life' really is these days? go to the best school so you can get the best job and make more money than the guy next door. absolute bullshit. love your poetry. peace.

Your right but who needs that much? And why would you want to become so involved with it...that its all you ever think about. A sweet caring person turned into this cold statue because of money. I think we should just build us lil tiki fuckin hutz and live that way hahaha. Too bad I cant make a differnce but I can sure try.

Mysti this is really true i agree 100% with this. People have loads of money still need more, the kill and do wrong things for money and give nothing back to the world. This is so true but i hate to say it money does make the world go round. Without it you will have one hell or a hard life. Anyway this was so good i love it.

Yes I totally agree with you. Our country is overwhelmed by money and greed. We no nothing of feelings or caring. I used to live on the streets when I was younger so I am really grateful where I am right now sure I have moments where I get tired of my family but Im not worrying my life away because of money. We live pay check to pay check and Im cool with what I have. I give my stuff away to goodwill and stuff too. At least I know tehres another person who gives a shit where our society and country is going to.And what the hell would you do with a 15 room house?! You're not going to live in every room.And I wish the people who realize this could make a differnce in these peoples lives but you cant get much through a greedy mans head.

I think that the people who live out on the streets are a lot smarter than those who high behind their fancy walls and surrounded by what they want and need. Envy, Gluttony, and Lust I think are really horrible sins. Thoug, everyone I think is convicted of them. Things will keep getting bigger and bigger. More people will want them. Then again, you gotta think a bout WHO makes them. People do need jobs. To buy food and take care of the family, some living from pay check to pay check. My mother does. We can't afford much. If we want to get rid of something we take it to GoodWill or some other charity. People who have bigger things should at least give the older styles to people with less money and would like to have a radio or a small tv. Society... really is going downhill.
