Who Will

Who Will

I see the lighting in the sky
And hear the thunder roar
But there’s not a cloud in the sky
This is the face of war

The bullets fly, the mortars scream
The cannons sound like drums
Tonight we all face death
But we know tomorrow comes

Who will win the battles?
Who will take the night?
Who will fight for justice?
Who will do what’s right?

Our hearts, our souls are in the fight
And we all know what to do
Because when a battle’s raging
We are the ones; we are the who

Author notes

I dedicate this to all the men and women that go outside the gate every day to face war.  And to all those who set and wait for mortars.  God bless the brave souls that do what so many don't, face death.  I salute you all soldiers, sailors, marines, airmen and civilians the pride of america and so many other countries.

"But there is not a cloud in the sky
this is the face of war"

"We are the ones; we are the who"

    is brilliance x 10!!
so much emotion in a few words and do they
ever pack a powerful punch of a message.
incredible writing and bless your heart

*wipes tears away* This is so sad..yet it is an amazing poem. I absolutly loved reading it. I totally support the men and women who are willing to fight and die for our very own freedom. Although it does pain me to see out troops dying everyday I know that they shall not be forgotten.

I personally think that your thoughts are revolutionary and they are really dedicated to wars. I hope your and your family are safe in the thundering silence of evilness going through the veins of Iraq.

    Anyways,
