An egg began to crack, its thin shell no longer able to muffle the crys of the tiny beast within. Come little one,Life awaits.a voice hummed. The hatch-ling Dragon Broke out of it's shell, And with a sigh leaned against her nearby brother. He snapped at her and she slid to the ground. Her mother, the voice she had herd humming to her and her brothers for years now, gave her a nudge. Mothers was breath is so warm. You are Mouna. Hummed her mother. Mouna opened her eyes to see a deep, stone bowl, about 40 feet long and ten feet deep. Her mother took up most of the nest, being 30 feet from snout to the tip of her tail and about 6 feet tall at the shoulder. Her mother drew near and began humming, curling about her three babies. "A Deer" sang mother, her head descending toward the carcass. She ripped open the
Deer's stomach the smell of blood putting an edge on their hunger. Coal jumped onto the meal, and so did Freon. But when Mouna neared, Coal bared his teeth, hissed, and bit her with his baby teeth. Freon struck Coal with his tail and Coal fell. Mouna joined her elder brother, and ate while Coal sulked by mother.
Late that night Mother and Father talked. That Boy will be trouble, mark my words. Father sang his voice echoing slightly in the large cave in the back of the nest."I hope he doesn't murder the others, he has the look of one who would do it." "Surly not!" mother hummed, the shock and sorrow showing in her voice. Yes, but I think if we watch closely, and Freon is the boy I think he is,Coal won't get by with such. Father said. I do hope so.Mother answered
