So many tears
i just put them away,
in a box on a shelf
to open someday.
When your face is so dim
that i can't make it out,
and your sweet laughter
is no longer about.
The memories may fade,
the tears will dry,
but it will all come back
I won't have to try.
I'll open the lid
and look down.
I'll see your picture
and your sad little frown.
By opening the box
the tears will leave,
and then I'll finally
be able to breathe.
Author notes
this isn't about me i was kind of thinking of a mother losing her child or something like that. hope you like it!
