    CLEVER

    I really like the surprise of this one! The reader experiences the very "shock" that you wish to convey with this poem, right along with the speaker of the poem. It is a real-time experience. I love it when reality mirrors the intended imagery!

    "your face a picture of pure rage-" I love the look of the poor, surprised little squirrel. Would that life doesn't shock us like that too often! Ah, but wherein would BE the life?

      I have this need, to write quirky little "epitaphs" to nature pictures The challenge is in trying not to be mundane... Glad you enjoyed the "surprise", many thanks for your kindness

    Lol, no "cute" does not always do it for me either but the contest said "childrens"...hence the cuteness Thanks for the comments, as always they are very much appreciated
