Dying For Peace

We are wishing, hoping, dreaming
Always wanting such a lot
Not believing, caring, trusting
Having faith in what we've got.

We live in constant conflict
Which never seems to cease
But still we go on fighting wars
Insisting it's for peace.

Anger, greed and prejudice
Are what we're taught from birth
Not how precious life is
But how much money is worth.

Your work is fantastic and it's a shame you haven't had more views. You speak the hard truth, one which people would rather tuen away from. You are an incredible poet and thank you for sharing your talent.

I love this poem, you and I seem to have similar thoughts about life and what is really important. Your words flow beautifully off the tongue. Please don't ever stop writing, while there are people who think like you, there is hope, where there is hope, there is a future
