Words can’t describe all the feelings
That fight around inside my mind
Just for dominance
Pained that she’s gone
Hurt that he’s left me for good
Happy that another ‘him’ is here for me
Judged when ‘they’ speak
Abandoned when ‘they’ give up on me
Lost when it comes to who I am
Confused about what I really want
Helpless when I look at that eight-year old
Ashamed when I see the look of disappointment gracing her face
Misunderstood when ‘they’ can’t grasp my words
Angry when ‘they’ throw around ‘I love you’
Annoyed that ‘they’ label everyone
Hopeful when it comes to a new school year
I guess I really don’t understand...
