The Angel in My Persistent Dream

Stranded before the driest of land, surrounded by the ocean shore
There I stand amongst the summer breeze
With my head bowed low, in forgotten hopes, of finding you -
The angel in my persistent dream.
Through the season of change, in the midst of autumn air,
Leaves begin to fall, as I’ve come to search for you once again,

During the snowfall
A frozen cry roll down my cheek,
I’ve held my head high in hopes of finding you,

Now I think if only I could have found and held onto you,
Just once for a moment in time; instead of in my head

Dawn awakens before golden shine
As I walk the earth,
Tears held back from last-night’s prayer
Just before my eyes, there you stand,

A gentle hand, grabs a hold of mine,
With a touch of my cheek,
You move in slow,
I now eagerly taste the lips of,
The angel in my persistent dream.
After you’re delicate and tasteful kiss,
I look into your silver-blue eyes,
Knowing you’re my heart and soul,
As I’m,
Finally awakening a dream now true.
