The boundaries of your existence
Imprisoned here
Until the noon sun
Starts to shine brightly
Irridence with soft hues
You will fade
and be gone
Later in the day...
but now
You are resplendent
for in the morning light
you outshine the stars~

********* Poetry stars (Joy to the world)
The fractured glow, of the fallen rainbow,
In a voice like the midnight air,
Nourishs so as the flowers grow,
And the light falls on them there
Dew drops, rabbit hops,
And the world is reborn.
The glow of gladness never stops,
Upon an april morn. Hi Susan Hope your well and blessed -
You truly speak words of beauty

fantastic
Sweet refreshing imagery:
'You will fade
and be gone
Later in the day...
but now
You are resplendent
for in the morning light
you outshine the stars~'
The way you describe dew, it reminded me of human life...life is short, but while we live we shine.
Thanx so much for commenting on my latest haiku 'Magic of The Orient'. It's been on the website for only several minutes and you already commented on it. That was quick!
Best Wishes and Take Care

Beautiful one, my favorite time of day. I particularly like the first 2 lines, the idea that there is a special time to view anyone's boundaries of existence. Hugs, Christie

this led me down a path
as glistening plants tend to do
and left me with the realization
that nearly everything we see
outshines the stars!~) -

Absolutely beautiful picture you have painted here Susan ...

Like the dew I shall go
And all I will have been,
Is but a dream within a dream ..."

I just wrote you a long message and I lost it because this site is not working once again! trying again.
I have a screened porch that faces the morning sun, in the summer I love to be out there early in the morning. The dew on my hydrengia's has always reminded me of diamond. Thank you for the possitive write. You hang in there girl.

I can feel the dew drops holding on to life here. Not waiting for / but surrendering to the noon sun. Classically brilliant. Nature's ongoing striving, for pride of place, in existance. -tj-

I like this Susie! The way each dewdrop seems to be an entity, with boundaries, and a certain irradience. Wish I were all a-glow in the morning . . . but i come alive at 2 am . . .that's about the time right now! I see something in the poem too, about the temporal nature of all things . . . including us. That noon day sun does a job on us . . . so gather ye rosebuds while ye may. Way to go, Susie! I'm going to check out all your other poems now. Lol, what else should a retired English teacher be doing!

I just looked at your author page before I saw this poem...430 poems! Wow, you sure are a prolific poet. But I guess we have our own different styles, you write a lot of little poems, I write a few big ones. I think most of mine are fairly long, which is part of the reason why I don't write terribly many poems. Oh, and just so you know, I didn't actually win the contest for my "If I were..." poem. I wasn't trying to win and I didn't think I would win. My poem was so different from the topic that I would have been surprised to win it, but ah well, it was fun writing it, and thats what counts for me.
I'm not sure why but this reminds me of a few days ago when I was getting ready to go to school and looked outside and it was raining. I remember thinking "should I wear a jacket to school today?" but I decided not to wear one. By the time I left it wasn't raining any way, which annoyed me because I'm getting tired of this hot weather.
Any way, nice poem.
Suddenly images of my fog filled city come to mind. I love the fog, its so much better than being hot. -
I have no idea what the flower is
I just thought the dew drops were portrayed well on it
Now will have to look that up lol
Thanks for all your comments
Much love and blessings

Wow, Susan,
I am simply awed, because this is very different from your normal style of poetry. This is so simple, and yet so complex, and absolutely beautiful. -
