Riverside Louis' Quill Work- SILVER

CURRENTLY BEING PUBLISHED

Author notes

Wigum was a beautiful rare animal with bright orange, red and blue feathers all the animals in creation looked up to for his beauty. -a Lenni-Leanpe tribal story
sleeping in the prickly brush comes from the Chippewa legend of why the porcupine was given quills for his own safety.

you will notice some language uses that may be foreign to you, but are so very common to us that live way up North where we say what we say in original ways.

This is beautiful. A great story and language not an issue. You can easily lose the beauty of a story in trying to make the language accessable to all. I love also how you have taken the Chippewa story and personified it with a person you knew. The beauty that if boasted upon becomes unreachable. Great write thanks for entering and good luck.
