Gone Fission!

We coalesce
In patterns not
Unlike those found
In ruins of
Babylonesque civilisations
Amid elegant, grallatorial towers
Wreathed in soft lights and colours
Appealing to an aesthetic
Long dead
But death no longer means the end
Revelations emerge
From lifestuff
Corrupted by earth
Lost heroes call from unnamed graves
Dig them up
And analyse
Remains

Traces of
Uranium
Two-three-five
In the cores of the bones
Of mohenjo daro

Have you ever heard
The supposed prophecies
Of Mitar Tarabich?
Illiterate serbian peasant
In the late ninteenth century
Said that we would die like this:

Choking in the fallout
Settling of ash
We burn with
Birth defects
And the will
To live
Half a life, at least
And a two-three-five
And boom
We die
This is not/was not glory
This is d e c a y

Heh. Dankeschon. Mohenjo Daro has some interesting history behind it, if you can find it.

i could just write a critique about the title, which itself is pretty amazing. but i really like the content, and the fact that "mohenjo daro" seems to roll along with the poem, instead of creating a major roadblock. aslso you used "babylonesque"... thats pretty impressive.
