One night I had a dream I was out in a desert, the hottest day I could ever imagine.
I was lost and sad and I couldn’t imagine that this could ever happen to me.
I was thirsty, so thirsty, a thirst I needed to quench! So I searched and I searched but no water did I find. So I crawled and I cried, so here’s where I’ll die?
Just then I remembered what a friend once said. It was a prayer in a book that I had once read. It began Hail Mary, Full of Grace, but sadly I couldn’t remember the rest. So I just began to repeat what I new several times.
"Hail Mary, Full of Grace, Hail Mary, Full of Grace, Hail Mary, Full of Grace "
Just then in the desert I saw a man holding a bucket of water. I managed to find some strength to run over to him, even in my weakest of times.
“Who art thou oh Savior to me? You’ve saved my life!” the man asked
“I’m the Lord my son.”
“The Lord is with thee?” The man then questioned.
Just then the man disappeared and the bucket lie their on the ground. The man quickly moved towards the bucket and looked inside, but nothing was there, confused the man cried.
Then slowly the man began to remember what he’d read,
"Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee,
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of death.
The man again repeated it, and slowly he began to lose his thirst, until finally he had no thirst at all.
And
never again
did the man quench salvation.
