The Feeling of Peace

The Feeling of Peace

Very few are teaching the subject of Peace
The feeling of True Peace
Lies within the heart

Outside, the world talks of war
True Peace has nothing to do with war
It's not a band-aid
To be placed upon a severed leg

True Peace
Is the responsibility
Of each and every human being
It should be our priority
In this life
Peace dwells within the heart
That's where our attention should be

The feeling of Peace is beautiful
Taranand says
All praise to Peace

Just love that feeling of peace

Dear Maa, You've mirrored my poem abmirably with your kind critique. The last lines were indeed inpired totally by Kabir and his wonderful flair for Truth. Yes that beautiful feeling of peace was placed as close to us as possibly (within us) so we might never feel separated. What a joyous reality

    Peace and joy Tara

"Taranand says..." And with these words there is spread upon the earth a soothing balm of the one thing that is needed above all things... for there can be no true living without the peace of nations, peace of family, peace of mind, and peace of heart. Thou hast said it truly... and truly said it. OM!

    dearest taranand,
thank you for your message of simple truth and wisdom,
of a reminder showing us that what we are looking for outside of us is already present within.
so many talk about peace, believing it to be the opposite of war, but peace has no opposite, as unconditional love has no opposite ... peace and love do not belong to the world of duality, and can only be found in the heart, how you show us in your poem in such a simple way.
I love the ending in your poem : "taranand says" ...
it reminds me very much of kabir's poems.
a very beautiful and peaceful poem indeed.
    thank you.

"It should be our priority" Yes. It should. But we pretend it is wo difficult to obtain, we give it names like "world peace" and "inner peace" and chase every golden rinng instead. Ah, but it is so easy, we have it in our hearts, the jounrey to find it is only as difficult as we make it!

    VERY BEAUTIFUL AND INSPIRING

I agree Tara, peace for themselves and the world begins withing their own hearts.
