The sky itself is a dramatic sea
of lavenders, blues, and pearls
Intricately scattered, glowing pink
Surround in ornate swirl
Colors we simply can't imagine
The overflow with heavenly style
Since time began we've had these colors
In glowing magnificent ways
The sun takes its leave and we witness
With wonder and awe
A divine art
The climax of day~
of lavenders, blues, and pearls
Intricately scattered, glowing pink
Surround in ornate swirl
Colors we simply can't imagine
The overflow with heavenly style
Since time began we've had these colors
In glowing magnificent ways
The sun takes its leave and we witness
With wonder and awe
A divine art
The climax of day~

I feel this way a lot. My dad and I drive around all the time and every time we see a sunset through the window (since I'm a writer and he's a photographer) we're just sort of stricken with the beauty of it. Someone once told me that it's pollution that causes those colors in the sky. Hm, well I really don't know, but I do know that this is a very solid piece that I relate to a lot. Greatgreat.

OHHHHHHHHH All the pretty colors!!!! This is awsome sis!
I love the peaceful feeling of watching a sunset in the evening! It's like watching invisible hands do a water panting acrossed the sky! The colors just evolve slowely!!!!

Beautiful work as usual Susan. You would have loved the Tasmania trip recently. We visited a Lavender farm, the biggest in the Southern Hemosphere. We drove for nearly a mile from where we first came across the scent till we reached the actual farm and farmhouse. The colour they produce in the mind even after leaving is here, in words and picture. -tj-

We move too fast . . . all of us. We run here, there, and everywhere and hardly ever see the beauty so close. You're poem is a reminder to see the glory of the natural world as it unfolds. Nicely done.

Wonderful imagery.
We have skies like that here in New England (Is that the opposite of 'Old England'? I guess it is.)
Just keep getting better and better Ms. Moonie.

A lovely piece here, a bit off, but, still a lovely piece here.

Bravo, my dear. Short and sweet, an excellent combination. One question, should "the" in line 6 be "that" might flow a little better if it were. I dunno. Later!

Susan, Thank you for this beautiful word picture... I needed to sit back and enjoy a sunset for a little while. You amaze me as always with the beauty you impart through your words... you described it so well, you do not even need a picture, which is beautiful, BTW.

"The climaz of the day..." And it truly is sweet Susan~
Everything about the world is so amazing and it does really leave you breathless and in awe of it all. It makes me wonder so many times about how it first came to be. Who got out his magical paintbrush and invisioned colors that have never been seen before and gave them life for all of us to see...
I feel sad for the people that do not see what we do in a beautiful warm day. It brings a smile to my face, as I am sure that it does yours too.
I just wanted to say that I am so sorry for yours and your husbands loss sweet Susan. She is apart of that same sky that you look at everyday. She paints those colors for you to be happy and smile... Always remember that.
This was beautiful... Beyond words here~
~Love you hun~
