Flight Of Freedom!

Missing image
Wind to wing does span the heavens,
Eagles heart to heights abound,
Soar me there with beats of angels,
Born in eyrie's forest found,

Eyes then focus to the freedom,
Lakes and land as patchwork quilt,
Clouds do pillow circles motions,
Glided oe’r his Kingdom built.

Fall of speed to purpose killing,
All he sees his meal unwilling,
Talons claw to cast the death,
Fleeted so as just one breath,

Call he does from a heaven on high,
Majesty of all the sky,
Soaring far above the earth,
Flighted from a noble birth.

    I liked it

the poem really talked about flight of freedom not because of the the title but of the the poem itself

This is you, this is not just about a bird. This is why you fly. Thats why you find the words so easy for something like this. What a visual you have created in this piece. Well done. A master piece.

Yea! I love this- I can imagine being up there with eagles, taking pleasure in the heights, the speed of the dive. Even enjoying the kill- as an animal- enjoying the power of being queen (in my case) of the air. I really admire the power of birds of prey. This poem but so much beauty into the flight of such creatures: "Majesty of all the sky/soaring far above the earth" I love also the other flying things you add at the begining, yes they are mentioned in passing, but they add qualities to the core of this poem... It's just great- the angel, and eyrie makes me thing of eagles again for some reason... The whole hunting and killing sequence is (dare I say it) amazingly beautiful. I mean this only in the way of animal life- one of the most amazing things I've seen is a hawk overhead circling. Alright, after rambling for like an hour... Great poem! Loved it!
