and then

how is it that
we still exist
so separated from
what we were once

i agree that once
i loved you
or once we were
close friends
our lives intertwined
and now it's ashes
and memories

friends outgrow one anothers tendencies, eventually, unless of course you can make a friend of the soul- that is eternal, and is the most magical experience. It's an inherant knowing, and a lively connection. This poem expresses great pain, and I think that maybe the only thing we can do when we lose a friend is to really look to see what you Learned from them. I believe that every single person we meet we take something positive away from the experience of meeting them, what gifts did these friends leave you with? How will you use them? I sense brilliance in you, seek youself lovely, you won't go wrong.
