The right to exist
It is not through choice that I am what I am
Therefore give to your devoted servant the right of life
Grant to me the right of all things living
the right to exist
No matter how abhorrent i seem to your eyes
no matter the destruction that follows in my wake
I live therefore i claim the right of all things living
The right to exist
The fact that I may slay a hundred thousand
gives you no right to deprive me of my life
Though I come among you like a plague reaping a harvest of souls
my scythe fresh from the whetstone
I am alive I exist Therefore I have rights
The basic right of all things living
The right to exist.

The poem made me think of a murderer begging for mercy for his right to exist. Especially in the lines:
"No matter how abhorrent i seem to your eyes
no matter the destruction that follows in my wake
I live therefore i claim the right of all things living
The right to exist
The fact that I may slay a hundred thousand
gives you no right to deprive me of my life
Though I come among you like a plague reaping a harvest of souls
my scythe fresh from the whetstone
I am alive I exist Therefore I have rights
The basic right of all things living
The right to exist."
I had to read it over about three times, but the thought of a murderer begging for mercy was the only thing that came to mind. Very dark write, but a good poem.
