To some peace is their pride,
Like the rushing river.
That runs strong, and alone,
Crushing, pushing each stone.
To some peace is solitude,
Like the lonely grass that stands.,
In the wind, watching the trees,
Gaily fluttering in the breeze.
To some peace is unity,
Like the billion stars above.
Stand together hand in hand,
Capturing eyes of the land.
To some peace is beauty,
Like the glowing vain moon.
Attracting with skin fair,
Look not, weak man, beware.
To some peace is giving,
Like the generous sun.
Giving warmth to hear birds,
Sing songs without the words.
To some peace is their silence,
Like the stillness of the graves.
Ecstacy, in silent cold,
And life in death, for the bold.
To some peace is known as love,
Bonding of two human hearts.
Fire that freezes very soon,
Cyclic like the sun and moon.
To the poet, peace is all,
That he sees and shall absorb.
And flows upon a parchment,
Knowing truly, what peace meant.

Pretty well crafted in the first, and most of the second lines of each stanza, some throughout! I may have started out with a different stanza than Pride, for that kind of sets the reader on edge, especially with the rushing river imagery. I may have started with one of the softer stanzas to suck the reader in, then slam them with the pride, which, I'm sad in a way to say, is some people's perception of peace. In the Love stanza though, and I understand you were trying for brevity, a cynical air enters with the fire that freezes all too soon, the same as the Beauty stanza--Beauty does not have to be vain, the same as Love is much bigger than that which grows between two people, indeed, if one does not have Love within one's "self," they can never fully share Love with any other. for the purposes of this write though, I will say that you did a very good job, and overall, conveyed "your" message successfully. much love, and best of luck, in life and the contest! This indeed is a masterfully crafted piece giving us the meaning what all peace means to different people. I think you have almost gone into the mind of every kind and summed this up, very clever and very beautiful!
Love and light,

dear uditji,
another masterfully penned poem of my little big brother.
how well you put yourself into the skin of many in order to feel and describe how they would understand the word peace and their experience of it. the similes you are using are just so inspiring and further underline your message to make it even more poetic.
a great work of art written by a poet of infinite talent and sensitivity.
thank you so much, dear one.
