Chapter 1
It was a bright sunny morning ... you know, the kind when you awake to hear dogs barking and young children outside playing with their trucks and jump ropes. The wind was blowing in through the curtains of the windows she forgot to shut last night. She was up late studying for her Algebra exam when she must have dozed off. She sat up and wiped away the sleep in her eyes. She glanced around her room and found things were missing. Her doll left to her by her grandma, her box of pretend jewelry and such items, and her favorite butterfly clip she had had since she was little. Immediately her first thought was her younger sister Kelsey. Angrily, she hopped out of bed and reached for the door knob, but as she did so she heard a noise...a noise that is way too familiar. Her parents were downstairs once again arguing. She sighed and quietly opened the door. Kelsey was downstairs watching cartoons. There was no way she was going downstairs..especially not after their "talk" last night. OK so it was more of a lecture where she sat and had to listen why they yelled at lectured at her. She turned back into her room and closed the door. She wasn't ready to face them, not now, not ever.....

I love the casual style of this. It works really well.
Is this a 'short story' cause I really like those. I write some short story stuff myself...I always see it as like an extension to poetry, cause you can write more expressively than in a longer novel.
Really enjoyed this...hope you're gonna post more. ?

this is tell written
im not sure if it should stop or be continued though
it's hard to tell. . it could be continued or left alone
it'd be good both ways
but yeah good stuff
though a rather sad topic
i can relate to it cuz although it wuzn't my parents that argued
it wuz my friends parents that did and it scared her to death
and it happened all the time
so its scary
but keep up ur writing
it's good

i know what this feels like not being able to talk to people after a talk or lecture. i just ignore mostly my parents whenever they yell at me. i go into my room and i dont come out til the next morning seldom talking to them. i hope this isn't true, and if it is, i hope it gets better.
