How high would I have to fly
To lose sight of you, so far away?
My wings brought me closer
While my mind refused and resisted
But the truth is, when I'm near you,
I feel so carefree and protected.
As distant as us and our worlds are,
Not one day did you forget me.
Many times, I feel like a caged bird.
Unable to clasp what is on the outside.
Unconsciously, I wandered towards you
But constantly, I am pulled back and restrained.
Wherever I am, if you're there,
Unlimited joy shall flood my soul.
