There is no voice without an ear
Nor precious stone in silenced fear.
No seed will grow without it's land
No master's touch without a hand.
Could be a poet needs his pen
And paper where the leaves have been
But with no eyes to read the screen
A writer's thoughts will not be seen.
So share your talent with us all
For poets' words should never fall
On silent empty barren ground
Where listeners are not around.
The vacant spot would sore be missed
Where Scarlet Whisper's pen was whisked
And we would be the lesser still
Without the ink you freely spill.

Thistle, this poem was so beautiful and true. If this poem doesn't convince my lovely and talented Ap wife to stay then nothing will.

Take my old, stained inkwell darling, and have my penknife to cut yourself a new quill. There`s nothing like the scrawl of fresh ink across a snow-white page to inspire the muse. Beats electronic keyboards any day. If that`s what it takes to make you stay,so be it. William

This was really great. I am sure she loved it- and she is right, this is amazing. I think this poem will help her find the right directions to staying here on AP. I almost left before, but I decided to stay. And I am very glad I did.
I think you created something really good here though. It was very fluent.
