You wiped away all of my tears,
When they fell,
As stardust from my pockets of misery,
And I had to beg,
That you would never let it stop,
My cascading freedom,
When my shield fell as shattered glass,
And was tarnished as a drop of pearly milk in my regret,
You drove away all of my fears,
And I let your arms take care of me,
Draw me into your calming embrace,
So I no longer cared that I wasn't in control,
The future wasn't mine to manipulate,
I took so many gasping breaths,
That I could see I was alive,
And I could feel the wind in my hair,
The rain on my skin,
The blood running through my veins,
Then like all the others,
THe day came where you were gone,
Why did you have to go?
I could have died if you were gone forever,
But there's a little fire burning my flimsy heart,
Refusing to let go,
That one day i'll find you,
And you'll wipe away my final tears,
Push away the brink of my fears,
And never walk away.
Author notes
1 • “You wiped my tears, got rid of all my fears, why did you have to go?”
I've changed the lyrics a little and moved them about a bit, I hope that's ok

this is an interesting piece Amber and it does echo very true to most relationships. Knowing you I can guess what this is about and the way you write about it shows how important it is to you. Interesting way of using the lyric. Filled with the same style descriptions and metaphors that I've come to expect from you. good flow.
Best of luck in the contest, thank you for entering and following the rules.

I didn't particularly mean a guy girl realtionship. I just meant dealing with people in general.
