A man without a cause

So this road has not been easy
veered off a time or two
walked into the shadows
lost sight of you

but yet you didn't give up
you sent angels to lead me back
I realized you held me close
when others cut me no slack

I let my morals fall
I watched them slip away
I know I hurt you
when all I did was play

It started weighing on my heart
the pain of where I was
so far from you
A man with out a cause

So I started walking back
Out of the shadows into the light
saw a much brighter day
not wanting to take flight

I started living for you again
It is such a wonderful feeling
I am not dead inside anymore
I am actually living

But in my times of defiance
My times of wondering
You were always there
watching and knowing

You gave me the strength knowing
What I would do that night
that I would take control
that she would be allright

You know where my path leads
What lies ahead
And you give the strength
I know now with out you I'm dead

What an awesome one you are
How loving and caring you are to me
Even when a person is disrespectful
immoral and unChristian at times as someone Like I can be
