The Sky Will Then Bear Witness to the End of a Beginning

So we’ll sit here in the morning light
And breathe in life,
And with the pumping of your blood
The sun will rise.
And the heavy air will rain on our hearts,
And I’ll gaze into your beautiful face
While the daylight stars drink us away.

Oh, how I avoided clicking on this poem! I was sure it would something apocalyptic and generally eye rolling-inducing. This isn't, eh. This is very pleasant, and not at all reminiscent of bad horror movies. In fact it reminds me of a few good films. men. ahaheah.

"While the daylight stars drink us away."

Exquisite, sorrowful and beautiful and magnificent all at the same time. I love this piece, short but soooo sweet like freshly squeezed juice on a hot summer day. Well done!

    stunning

this is beautiful. I don't know any other way to describe how this poem makes me feel, it's so simple and deep. This is one of those true love poems, it shows instead of telling. Great job, I enjoyed reading it.

    Gah, Natalie.
It is that time of evening, that time..the time of the time:
    When I am hyper.
I think it might have been the 3 Mountian Dews I drank. But it could be the mood this poem sets me in.
    I love it.
    Not just love...
    I adore it. It's fan-stinkin-tastic.
    It's so..so...romantic?
Yeah, romantic. Its like, True Love...BAM! right in your face.
It makes me happy, but completly unsatisfied with my personal life. Thanks, yet again, you make me feel like a loser.
You're so cruel. I bet you wrote this poem, just to be like "Na na na na boo boo, Youre a loser, thats never going to have love, because youre a tall, man handed, freaky punk lady that scares the poop out of all the boys."
    Great friend, Nat.

Okay, This is a GREAT bedtime story:
Once upon at time, there was a prince named Hitler, and he started a club, called the Holocaust!
    ...Kidding.
    dur.

Well, Im going to eat some chips and dip, and talk to Corey.
Yeah, I talk to that loser.
He's the only one that will listen to how pitiful my life is.

    Wow...

Wow. I- I'm speechless. It's very naturale, and it makes you think what the sky is doing up there. It's watching. Just like the government.
    Really great poem.

This poem is seriously one of the best poems you have ever read. I can read it, and feel so...alive. It is so reviving. I love it so much. I cant stop reading it, and I think that maybe one day you should stop feeding your dog those fingers..yeah. its kinda weird.

oh and um, your mom told me to tell you to stop sneaking out with boys and watching the sunrise and telling them about their pumping blood. again, kinda weird.

BUT I LOVE THIS POEM, i just made babies with it.
