I tried an Acrostic once, it made no sense at all, so I tip my hat to anyone who tries them. It's nicely written, and very meaningful, and it flows quite well for an Acrostic!

I remember this poem Wanda! I applaud you for reaching back into your archives to unearth this wonderful treasure. I feel so very special that you took this time, especially since I know what you are going through right now. You are such a wonder, and such a blessing in my life. God surely placed us on the same path for a reason. I pray that you heal with completeness. I am but a phone call away Sis'. I am in tears again. Funny, I come here with great intentions on reading all the poetry in this contest and commenting. I tell myself, I'm not going to cry. You should see my jeans, they have splashes of tears all over the thighs. LOL Thank you so much dear sister! I LOVE YOU!

    Always ♥

I liked this acrostic then and I like it now. That picture says a lot as well!
Thanks Wanda for bringing it back to us

Renee was one of the first poet I met here, and that was almost three years ago. Since then, her support and love have always helped me to appreciate my own words.
Your acrostic is simply lovely and she surely deserves to be appreciated!

Some time ago I wrote a haiku, and it makes me think of her

    after a storm
    waves become the stage-
    the moon dances

No matter how bad times may ben she'll always shine

I always liked the one: "Your right to swing your fist ends where my nose begins", Scribe... Ya haven't seen the Swan turn into a pitbull yet, Rob... Ok, Renee can have your back; I'll take your front. Split what, Baby??? There's only one of each... Ain't ya got enough to spread 'em around a lil' more??? Yep, that's her. Renee is an example to me, as to many here. The strength of her conviction comes through in a way reminiscent of the old idiom, "you can't stop a man who knows he's right and just keeps coming". I pity the fool who takes her lightly. I would rather have her at my back in times of trouble than many of my "real world" friends. You have captured that great spirit well. Here, split these with her.lol.-

    Peace

Sighhh... 22 views later... So much for my late~night proofreading, Dee...I fixed it... Thanks for your sharp eye, my Friend...Indeed, Renee is all you say & more, although she is far too humble to accept such glorious accolades, as is evidenced by her comments earlier...I'm pleased you think I did her justice, Lady...When I found this picture, I could only think of our own Poetryality as its representative & recipient...Thank you for your gracious words...I know Renee will appreciate them, too...Be well, Poet... You've written a beautiful piece of truth about our Renee, Wanda. And yes I see all this and more in her. She's indeed all you have written of. I can think of no one else on allpoetry who exemplifies truth and love more than Renee. She's one of the most noble, strong, compassionate women I've ever met.

Your beautiful acrostic is and it's presentation is breathtaking

I did notice one thing that may or may not be wht you meant it to be, though....In these lines:
r eaching out to all within your
y our vision, you nurture &

did you meant to have 'your' at the end of the first one as well as at the beginning of the next one?

    Wonderful job, I love it

    love and
    Dee

Isn't that always the way of it, Renee??? The people who love us see things in us that we can never see...why??? Poets have always been their own best & worst judges, Lady...we are so forgiving of everyone & everything else & so harsh with ourselves; I know I am...My family thought I was an idiot; people at the college thought I was a genius; I am neither...I fluctuate somewhere in between...You have touched many people here, my Friend...I hope you read the comments this has received so far; Nicolette & Mark Rickerby had lovely things to say aboutcha...& I'm quite sure many more will be by, too; I just posted this late last night & I added a link on the women's group page...so a lot more people will be by to add their thoughts about how deeply you've enhanced their lives, Renee...Some days, I can barely hold on, too, Dear Heart...It is then that my Friends arrive, in force, to help carry me back unto the Light...I love you, too, Sweetie...we all do...I'm pleased you liked it so much; God knows you deserve it... Wanda

    My Dear Wanda,

You see more in me than I do in myself. I am not as strong as you think but I appreciate what you see. It makes me feel like I've touched you, and that is my mission in this life; to touch those I encounter. I've had a really rough few days. To come back to AP, and read this fills me with great joy. It humbles me as well. Without the love and kindess of sisters (brothers) like you, I would have no reason to write. I love you dearly. This is so spiritual. I am all that you've writtten and none. Some days I can barely hold on. God bless you my dear friend & sister. You are such an asset in my life. YOU are always there just when I need you, sharing joy.

    THANK YOU! ♥ I LOVE YOU! ♥

    Renee

WOW! This is one of the best acrostics that I have ever read, Vlindertjie. From the picture to the presentation to the poetry in each and every letter, this is a magnificent piece of art. And wow, how well you've captured Renee's essence: Reading this acrostic is like looking at a picture of Renee. She is one of the first poet's I've met here on AP and one that I am fortunate enough to call a friend too - a passionate, warm-hearted woman who embraces love, life, art and friendship. Wonderful work - this is truly awesome (just like the two poets behind these words)
